Melantik Tanpa Manja: Pesan Menohok Gubernur Sulut tentang Arti Sebuah Jabatan
MANADO - The atmosphere in the inauguration room of the North Sulawesi Provincial Government (Sulut) was not only filled with cheers and warm handshakes. Behind the rotation and refreshing of the organizational structure, there is a message that touches the heart that is echoed by the Governor of North Sulawesi, Yulius Selvanus, to his aides who have just taken on new responsibilities.
For Yulius, the leadership seat is not a gift, let alone a facility to be proud of.
"The position is not a facility or an award to be proud of, but a trust and trust that must be accounted for - both to the public, the government, and to God Almighty," said Yulius in front of his staff in Manado, Wednesday as reported by Antara.
The deep message became a clear dividing line: professionalism and integrity are a must. In the midst of regional development dynamics, responsive and solid government governance can only be realized if agency leaders are ready to work without barriers and egos.
New Faces in the New Nahkoda
This rotation marks a new chapter for three two-star officials in the North Sulawesi Provincial Government environment. They step into a different task arena, carrying a new track record and challenges on their respective shoulders.
Deicy Paat, who previously headed the Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Office, is now trusted to solve challenges in the employment sector as Head of the Manpower and Transmigration Office. Femmy Suluh, who previously oversaw the implementation of the Regional Education Office, is now taking the helm to lead the transportation and mobility strategy as Head of the North Sulawesi Transportation Office. Jahja Rondonuwu, who previously served behind the scenes of legislative dynamics as the Head of the Secretariat of the DPRD, is now stepping forward to lead the North Sulawesi Provincial Regional Education Office. This shift is not merely a matter of rearranging positions, but is part of the strategy of organizing the organization so that development programs can run faster and public services can be felt more by the community.
Renounce Ego, Weave Synergy
Even though he appreciates a series of achievements of the North Sulawesi Provincial Government - starting from the cleanliness of financial management, the quality of public services, to the investment climate that continues to linger - Governor Yulius reminded that the room for complacency is very narrow. The challenges of the region in the future are even more complex.
Therefore, the main message after the inauguration ceremony is very straightforward: leave the sectoral ego.
"I hope the new officials will immediately adapt, build good communication, set an example, and uphold the principles of integrity, professionalism, discipline, loyalty, and responsibility," he said.
In the hands of the newly appointed officials, the sustainability of the North Sulawesi development wheel is at stake. It's not about how high the position is occupied, but how much benefit can be shared for the people of Nyiur Melambai.
