Bogor Council Chairman Urges Residents to Support the 2026 Economic Census

BOGOR - The Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD, Adityawarman Adil, invited all people to actively participate in the success of the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) which was held by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS).

According to him, the success of the census depends very much on the openness of the community in providing accurate data so that it can become the basis for the formulation of appropriate development policies.

Adityawarman appealed to the public to accept the arrival of census officers who will conduct data collection in the field. He also invited residents to apply the slogan TIR, namely Accept the officers properly, Inform valid and accurate data, and Data confidentiality is guaranteed to be safe and protected.

"When the census officers come, let's welcome them well and provide correct and accurate information. People also don't need to worry because all the data provided is guaranteed to be confidential and only used for statistical purposes," said Adityawarman, Wednesday, August 5.

According to him, the 2026 Economic Census has a strategic role in photographing the national and regional economic conditions comprehensively. The data generated will be a reference for the government in formulating various economic policies, ranging from business sector development, job creation, to improving people's welfare.

He assessed that accurate data is very important to help the government make effective decisions in encouraging economic growth and strengthening regional competitiveness, including the City of Bogor.

Therefore, Adityawarman hopes that all business actors, ranging from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to large companies, as well as the general public can provide full support for the implementation of SE2026.

"With the active participation of all people, the 2026 Economic Census is expected to be able to produce quality data as the foundation for sustainable economic development. Let's together make the 2026 Economic Census a success for the progress of Bogor City and Indonesia," he concluded.

The Economic Census is a census conducted by BPS every 10 years to obtain a comprehensive overview of economic activities outside the agricultural sector. Census results are used as a basis for the preparation of various economic development policies, government program evaluations, and investment planning and business development at the national and regional levels.
