Kadin lawsuit hearing, metadata expert says a number of letters have been modified
JAKARTA - The lawsuit trial related to the dualism of the West Java Chamber of Commerce management is heating up again. Metadata expert, Dr. Enok Tuti Alawiah M.Kom, said that a number of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce letters related to the Provincial Consultative Meeting or Muprov Kadin Jabar in Bogor had been modified before being uploaded to the Kadin Indonesia website.
The information was conveyed by Enok in the continuation of the lawsuit filed by two managers of the Garut and Indramayu Regional Chambers of Commerce against the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the South Jakarta District Court, Monday, August 3, 2026.
The lawsuit is related to the implementation of the Muprov of the West Java Chamber of Commerce in Bogor on September 24, 2025 which resulted in Almer Faiq Rusidy as the General Chairman of the West Java Chamber of Commerce. The Muprov was questioned because it ended in the dualism of the management of the West Java Chamber of Commerce.
In front of the panel of judges headed by Eman Sulaiman, Enok explained the results of metadata searches on a number of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry documents.
The letters examined include letter number 213 about the caretaker of the West Java Chamber of Commerce, letter number 209 about the imposition of sanctions, and letter number 205 about the implementation of Muprov.
"Your Honor, in the letters, according to my search results based on metadata, there is a modification of the letter's content before the letter is uploaded on the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce website," Enok said in the trial.
Enok also conveyed the time for changing the documents, including the date and time of modification. He also mentioned the time the letters were uploaded to the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce website.
The trial heated up after the defendant's lawyer objected to the presence of an expert witness. The defendant's power also questioned Enok about his expertise and findings on the documents examined.
Presiding Judge Eman Sulaiman several times mediated the cross-opinions between the defendant's lawyers and expert witnesses.
In his statement, Enok emphasized that his findings were based on metadata searches. However, he did not confirm whether the letter was fake or forged.
The plaintiff's lawyer, Roy Sianipar, assessed that the expert's testimony strengthened the evidence previously submitted to the panel of judges. According to Roy, the findings strengthen the plaintiff's argument that the Muprov Kadin West Java in Bogor is legally flawed.
Roy also expressed his appreciation to the panel of judges for being judged to give space to the plaintiff and defendant to present arguments.
"The panel of judges is very professional, where he has accommodated what the plaintiff and the defendant have said," said Roy.
Previously, the plaintiffs submitted 47 pieces of evidence and presented three witnesses. Two witnesses, Iyus Ruswandi and Deni Irawan, are said to know and follow the implementation of Muprov in Bogor. Both concluded that Muprov in Bogor was invalid and legally flawed.
Another witness was Nizar Sungkar, Chairman of the West Java Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) as a result of the Muprov in Bandung. In his testimony, Nizar highlighted the validity of Almer Faiq Rusidy as a candidate for Chairman of the West Java Chamber of Commerce (Kadin).
According to Nizar, Almer has not been in charge of the Bogor City Kadin for one period. He said that the organization's rules require the candidate for the Chairman of the Provincial Kadin to first complete the leadership in the city or district Kadin.
This lawsuit originated from two Muprov Kadin West Java 8 which were held on September 24, 2025, in Bogor and Bandung.
Muprov Bandung produced Nizar Sungkar as the Chairman of the West Java Chamber of Commerce. Meanwhile, Muprov Bogor produced Almer Faiq Rusidy.
The case was registered with number 1356/Pdt.G/2025/PN JKT.SEL. The parties sued include the Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Anindya Bakrie, Deputy Chairman of the Organization Taufan Eko Nugroho, Deputy Chairman Widiyanto Daputro, and Deputy Chairman Erwin Aksa.
