KPK Reveals Alleged Receipt of Other Kuansing Regent, One of Which is Cutting TPP

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed another alleged receipt made by the non-active Regent of Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing) Suhardiman Amby. One of them comes from the cut of Additional Income of Civil Servants (TPP) for state civil servants (ASN) which is currently being investigated through the examination of witnesses.

"The team found that there are currently receipts made by the regent by cutting the TPP, it was conveyed that it was cut by about 50 percent," said Acting Director of KPK Investigation Achmad Taufik Husein to reporters at the KPK Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, quoted Wednesday, August 5.

In addition, Taufik said that investigators also found other alleged receipts related to excess honor payments as stated in the results of the audit of the Financial Audit Agency (BPK).

"The second is also the receipt of honorarium, which was then found from the results of the BPK audit, that there was an excess payment received by the regent, so that there were then modes carried out by the regent to replace it, because the finding was that it must be returned," said Taufik.

In the deepening process, investigators found that the alleged return of excess payments was not using personal funds but was charged to ASN in the Kuansing Regency Government environment.

"Well, to restore this, it was found that the staff or ASN in the Kuansing Regency were asked to cover or were asked for donations so that the regent could return what was found by the BPK. Well, we layer it with acts of gratification," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK named three people as suspects in the alleged bribery of the filling of the Kuansing Regent's post after conducting a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) on Monday, June 29. They are Kuansing Regent Suhardiman Amby, Kuansing Regent Zulkarnain, and Ardiles as President Director of PT Mitra Ideal Consultant.

In the construction of the case, Suhardiman allegedly asked for one unit of Toyota Land Cruiser 300 GR-S worth around Rp2.05 billion to the participants of the selection for the position of the Regional Secretary.

The request was fulfilled by Zulkarnain who bought the vehicle through a credit scheme using Ardiles' identity for financing applications.

The KPK also found other alleged receipts made by Suhardiman related to the process of releasing Limited Production Forest (HPT) areas. Investigators are said to be tracing the amount of receipts, the mechanism of giving to the party suspected of receiving at the Ministry of Forestry.
