Transjakarta Fired a Microtrans Driver of Jaklingko who Hit an Elderly in Tomang

JAKARTA - PT Transjakarta dismissed the driver of the JAK 54 Microtrans fleet (Grogol-Bendungan Hilir) who allegedly hit an elderly man (elderly) on Jalan Tomang Utara on Saturday (25/7) at around 07.55 WIB.

"Transjakarta apologizes for the incident involving our operator. The concerned driver has undergone an investigation process and has been given a firm sanction in the form of a Dismissal Without Honor (PTDH) by the operator," said Head of the Public Relations and CSR Department of Transjakarta, Ayu Wardhani, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 5.

He said the driver of the Mikrotransmilik fleet of Koperasi Komilet Jaya (KMJ 2104) operator tried to hide the actual incident from the operator and Transjakarta parties before finally conducting further investigations.

Meanwhile, regarding the settlement and accountability with the victim (motorcyclist), it is being carried out.

"Transjakarta continues to monitor and ensure that the settlement process between the operator and the victim runs well and is complete," said Ayu.

PT Transjakarta appealed to all passengers and the public to immediately report any incidents or obstacles in the field through the Call Center 1500-102 or the official Transjakarta social media account.

"We are committed to immediately responding and following up on every report that comes in. We thank the public for the report and the attention of various parties related to this incident," said Ayu.

On the other hand, the son of Akiam (81), an elderly man who was a victim of the accident, said the incident occurred when his father was riding a motorcycle to the market.

According to eyewitness accounts at the scene, the Mikrotrans Route 54 fleet was traveling at high speed and suddenly changed lanes.

As a result of the incident, the victim suffered serious injuries in the form of broken bones in the hands and nose, as well as pain in the chest. The victim was helped by the surrounding residents before being rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
