Persebaya, Persib Bandung in the 2026 President's Cup Final

GIANYAR - Persebaya Surabaya meets Persib Bandung in the 2026 President's Cup final after defeating Arema FC with a score of 1-0 at the I Wayan Dipta Captain Stadium, Gianyar Regency, Bali, Tuesday night.

The East Java derby match was intense in the first half which was guarded by referee Candra from Padang City, West Sumatra.

It is proven that the attack trade made by both teams has not produced results until the match is full 45 minutes.

Initially, Arema gave hope for a goal in the 18th minute. However, the result was annulled by the referee after analyzing through video assistance (VAR) which showed offside.

The score finally broke when the first half's six-minute extra time, Persebaya Surabaya defender Yuran Fernandes broke into the goal guarded by Arema goalkeeper Adi Satryo.

The scoreboard finally changed 1-0 for the squad with the nickname Bajul Ijo until both teams went to halftime.

Meanwhile, in the second half, Singo Edan and Bajul Ijo both increased the intensity of the game. Both played tight, even though the squad under Bernanto Tavares continued to launch attacks.

Both coaches also made several substitutions to add new ammunition for the team.

Arema also had to play with 10 men after Diego Landis had to leave the field after receiving a red card after committing a foul.

Until the long whistle was blown by referee Candra, the score remained 1-0 with the victory achieved by Persebaya with a single goal scored by Yuran Fernandes.

With this result, the final match scheduled for Thursday (6/8) will bring Persebaya to a duel with Persib Bandung at the I Wayan Dipta Captain Stadium, Gianyar Regency, Bali.
