Looking to the Future from the Suka Makmue Complex: When the Children of Nagan Raya are No Longer Obstructed by Costs

NAGAN RAYA - Under the sky of Nagan Raya Integrated People's School 1, the footsteps of 330 children filled the corners. These days, they are not just following the School Environment Introduction Period (MPLS), but are stepping into a new space - a space where their big dreams are finally given a place to grow.

For children from extremely poor families in 10 sub-districts of Nagan Raya Regency to the remote corners of South Aceh, a classroom with a soft mattress and a fully equipped boarding school may have once only been in the imagination. Economic constraints that have long been a dark shadow, are now removed at the school gates. All needs, from uniforms, consumption, housing, to character guidance, are fully met for free.

"The presence of the People's School is a tangible manifestation of the government's commitment to providing social justice through quality education," said the Regent of Nagan Raya, Teuku Raja Keumangan, in a warm tone on Tuesday.

For Teuku Raja Keumangan, the presence of this school is a fortress of defense for the future of the younger generation. Poverty should no longer be an excuse for a child to despair and stop going to school. In this place, 90 elementary school students, 90 junior high school students, 90 high school students from Nagan Raya, and 60 foster students from South Aceh began to weave new friendships, learn to adapt, and recognize the guardians who will replace their parents in the dormitory.

Similar hopes were reflected in the appreciation of the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. R Gandhi Wijaya Cahyo Prajanto, PIC MPLS School of the People of Nagan Raya, called the land grant step from the local government as a manifestation of "real love" for village children. A trust to prove that children from the corners of the village have the same rights and abilities to compete with those who grow up in big cities.

Now, on the beautiful school grounds, students learn to look each other in the eye and greet each other. In their eyes, there is no longer any anxiety about tomorrow's school fees - there is only a burning desire to study hard, proving that from simplicity, a generation of gold Indonesia will be born who are competitive and have noble morals.
