Four Airlines Join, Special Terminal for Hajj and Umrah 2F Soetta Now Serves 14 Airlines

JAKARTA - Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta) has focused on Umrah pilgrimage travel services at the Special Haji and Umrah Terminal 2F from four airlines starting August 7, 2026.

The four airlines are Ethiopian Airlines, SriLankan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, and Royal Brunei Airlines. With the addition, Terminal 2F for Hajj and Umrah now serves 14 airlines that transport Umrah pilgrims.

General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Heru Karyadi, said the operational expansion was carried out after the transition process of umrah services which started in July went according to plan.

"After the implementation of services for Umrah airlines in July went smoothly, we are expanding the scope of operations of Terminal 2F for Hajj and Umrah. With the joining of these four airlines, services to pilgrims will be more centralized so that operational coordination will be more effective and the pilgrims' travel experience will be more comfortable," said Heru in an official statement, Tuesday, August 4.

Heru explained that the centralization of services at Terminal 2F is part of the airport management's commitment to improving the quality of services for umrah pilgrims, from the departure process to arrival.

To support this, the terminal is equipped with a special check-in area, a large capacity waiting room, a worship area, and various other supporting facilities designed according to the needs of the pilgrimage journey.

The readiness of the terminal is also reflected by the high number of users during the transition period. In the period from 1 to 31 July 2026, the 2F Hajj and Umrah Special Terminal served 89,656 umrah passengers, both departures and arrivals.

According to Heru, this achievement is an important capital in accommodating the increase in airlines operating at the special terminal.

"We will continue to evaluate the operation of the 2F Hajj and Umrah Special Terminal periodically so that every service process can run well and continue to be adjusted to operational needs in the field," he said.

Currently, the group umrah service at Terminal 2F for Hajj and Umrah includes Loong Air, Hainan Airlines, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Scoot, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, EgyptAir, Oman Air, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, SriLankan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, and Royal Brunei Airlines.

Heru ensures that the evaluation of terminal operations will continue to be carried out together with regulators, Umrah Travel Organizers (PPIU), airlines, ground handling companies, and other stakeholders.

"We are committed to making Terminal Khusus Haji dan Umrah 2F a center for umrah services that provide a safe, comfortable, and memorable travel experience for all pilgrims. The collaboration of all stakeholders is the key to ensuring that every operational process runs smoothly and that services to the community are increasingly optimal," he concluded.
