Literacy is the Key to Understanding Health and Beauty Products

JAKARTA - In the midst of the current information flow, the ability to really understand what is consumed, worn, and worn on the body becomes an important part of the lifestyle.

Literacy in health, beauty, and sustainable fashion is no longer seen as a separate issue. The three are interrelated and form the foundation for today's lifestyle, while demanding people to be more critical in filtering information, choosing products, and understanding the long-term impact of every consumption choice.

The need for this comprehensive education is increasingly urgent in line with the rapid innovation in the health sector, the growing awareness of sustainability in the textile and leather industry, and the increasing public interest in safe and knowledge-based beauty treatments. The meeting space for industry players, government, academics, and the community is crucial to bridging this information gap.

To answer this need, Krista Exhibitions will again hold four international exhibitions at once, namely IndoHealthcare Gakeslab Expo, Indo Leather & Footwear (ILF) Expo, Indo Garment & Textile (IGT) Expo, and Indo Beauty Expo 2026. The four of them will take place simultaneously on 5-7 August 2026 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.

Daud D. Salim, CEO of Krista Exhibitions Group explained that this event is a manifestation of the commitment to provide a platform that connects innovation, collaboration, and education for the wider community.

"The implementation of the IndoHealthcare Gakeslab Expo, Indo Leather & Footwear (ILF) Expo, Indo Garment & Textile (IGT) Expo and Indo Beauty Expo 2026 is a manifestation of Krista Exhibitions Group's commitment in presenting a business platform that is able to connect innovation, collaboration, and investment opportunities from various industrial sectors," explained Daud, quoted from an official statement from Krista Exhibitions Group.

"By bringing together business actors, government, associations, academics, and professionals in one event, we want to create an ecosystem that encourages the exchange of knowledge, the adoption of technology, and the birth of strategic partnerships that provide added value for the national industry," he continued.

Daud added that these four exhibitions are also a means of public education through various supporting activities that are designed not only as a showcase for products, but also a learning space for visitors from various backgrounds.

"These four exhibitions are not only a venue to showcase the latest products, technologies, and solutions, but also present various seminars, workshops, competitions, and discussion forums that provide practical insights into industry developments," said Daud.

"We believe that collaboration is the key to facing global challenges while improving Indonesia's competitiveness in the international market. Therefore, we hope that participants and visitors can take advantage of this opportunity to expand business networks, find new partners, and open opportunities for sustainable cooperation. Through the implementation of this international exhibition, Krista Exhibitions Group will continue to play an active role in supporting the growth of the national industry and strengthening Indonesia's position as a center of trade, innovation, and investment in the Asian region," he continued.

This exhibition presents 60 companies from 9 countries, namely China, Singapore, South Korea, India, Indonesia, Japan, Germany, Malaysia, and Pakistan. In addition to showcasing various latest health technology innovations, a series of seminars, talkshows, and workshops are also presented as an educational space for medical personnel, health practitioners, and the general public.

The sources involved are from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Cellcure by Dr. Terawan, PDGI, Arta Widya Agung, Triple Helix Indonesia, and One Entry, including a session with Dr. Anthony Toh (Singapore) and representatives of FKG Universitas Padjadjaran. The materials discussed include the development of medical technology, health service standards, to current issues in the field of medicine that are relevant to industry players and the general public.

Both exhibitions were attended by 280 participants, including 50 local MSMEs, from 14 countries. As part of the industry education effort, a National AGTI Seminar was held with the theme "Building a Competitive, Sustainable TPT Industry and Becoming a Key Player in the National and International Supply Chain".

In addition, the ILF-IGT Manufacturing Forum 2026 with the theme "Success in the Domestic Market, Superior in the Global Market" also featured APRISINDO, the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, and the Ministry of Investment/BKPM to discuss strategies to strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of the national textile, leather, and footwear sector. This series of activities was closed with a Networking Cocktail Dinner and The Fashion Show at the Main Stage Hall C3, which also became an event to introduce sustainable fashion trends to the public.

This exhibition was attended by 65 participants from 8 countries. During the three days of the event, the Main Stage Hall B1 was filled with the Indo Beauty Business Workshop & Competition, including the Permanent Makeup Lips, Hairstroke, Ombre, Makeup Competition, and Nail Art Competition competitions.

The series of seminars also featured Leony Liem, Arnes Sunomi, and the Chairman of the Barbershop to share insights on trends and best practices in the beauty industry, as well as educate visitors to be more careful in choosing body care products and services.

The four exhibitions are open to manufacturers, distributors, health practitioners, beauty professionals, academics, designers, and business delegates from various countries. This activity is supported by the Business Matching and Hosted Buyers program to expand networks and cooperation opportunities, as well as reaffirm the position of the four exhibitions as a cross-sector educational platform that encourages people to be more literate about health, beauty, and sustainability issues in daily life.
