Lexus Brings The All-New ES to GIIAS 2026, Offers Hybrid and Electric Options
JAKARTA - Lexus Indonesia brings something new to the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 exhibition, in which the All-New Lexus ES is officially presented as one of Lexus' most iconic models. The latest generation of ES comes with changes that include a new platform, a more complete electrification option, and various innovations that improve comfort, performance, and technology. General Manager of Lexus Indonesia, Ima Nurbani Rahmah, said that for the past few years, we have maintained this character, while presenting various improvements that follow technological developments and customer needs. Starting from a new platform, a more complete electrification option, to various human-centered technologies, all of which are designed to provide a more comfortable and enjoyable driving experience," he said, when met at ICE BSD, Tangerang, some time ago. The most fundamental changes to The All-New Lexus ES begin with the use of a completely new platform. This platform presents a more spacious cabin space through a longer wheelbase, and serves as the foundation for the presence of two electrification technology options, namely Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) and for the first time, Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV). The presence of the ES 350e also marks the first Battery Electric Vehicle sedan in the Lexus line-up, so that customers now have more choices according to their mobility and lifestyle needs. Carrying the Clean Tech × Elegance design philosophy, The All-New Lexus ES presents a new interpretation of the Lexus luxury sedan through Spindle Body, Twin L-Signature Headlamps, and L-Signature Rear Lamps combined with illuminated Lexus wordmark. The update is also visible in the wheel design, where the 19-inch alloy wheels on the Hybrid variant give a bolder and sportier look, while the 21-inch alloy wheels on the Battery Electric Vehicle variant present a more aggressive character.
Entering the cabin, The All-New Lexus ES still prioritizes the Human-Centered approach typical of Lexus. The Tazuna Cockpit concept ensures that various information and main controls remain within easy reach of the driver, while the more spacious cabin space and cleaner interior layout provide a comfortable atmosphere for all passengers. All variants are also equipped with Interior Illumination, which allows customers to customize the cabin atmosphere through various themes and dynamic lighting patterns. Especially on the Battery Electric Vehicle variant, Lexus presents Illuminated Bamboo Door Trim with Japanese-style bamboo motifs that reflect Lexus craftsmanship while supporting a more sustainable approach. The driving characteristics of the Lexus ES are also improved through the use of Multi-link Rear Suspension for the first time on this model, thereby helping to improve driving stability and comfort. On the performance side, the ES 350h (HEV) produces up to 244 horsepower, while the ES 350e (BEV) produces up to 221 horsepower, providing a responsive driving character according to the characteristics of each electrification system. Complementing the ownership service, Lexus Indonesia also introduces an update to Lexus Reach, a digital platform that provides easier access to various Lexus services, ranging from service reminders, service booking, monitoring vehicle progress, to enjoying Lexus Privileges and various exclusive events. This initiative is part of the commitment to Making Luxury Personal, providing an increasingly seamless experience in every journey with Lexus.
