Dewas KPK Receives 14 Ethics Complaints until Mid-Year and Monitors 2,093 Notification of Enforcement

JAKARTA - The Supervisory Board (Dewas) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) received 14 complaints of alleged ethical violations throughout Semester I 2026. They also oversee thousands of pro-justice notifications in the form of wiretaps, searches, seizures, and stop-and-search orders (SP3).

"The first semester activity is about the legal basis and the main duties of the Supervisory Board," said Chairman of the KPK Dewas Gusrizal at the KPK Dewas Performance Achievement I Semester 2026 Press Conference at the KPK ACLC building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Monday, August 3.

Gusrizal explained that Dewas has five main tasks, namely overseeing the implementation of the duties and authority of the KPK, drafting a code of ethics, receiving public reports, holding an ethics hearing, and evaluating the performance of KPK leaders and employees.

During the first six months of this year, Dewas received three public reports, held six coordination meetings for supervision (Rakorwas), handled 65 non-ethical complaints, and received 14 ethical complaints.

"KPK code of ethics socialization and learning. There are five activities and 39 evaluation recommendations," he said.

Meanwhile, KPK Dewas Member Benny Mamoto said that supervision was also focused on the implementation of pro-justice actions carried out by the KPK. During Semester I 2026, Dewas received 2,093 notifications from various law enforcement actions.

"In total, there were 2,093 notifications received by the Dewas KPK. In the first semester of 2026," said Benny.

The details consist of 762 wiretapping notifications, 232 searches, 1,093 seizures, and six letters of termination of investigation (SP3).

However, Dewas noted that there were still 282 notifications that were not delivered in a timely manner to Dewas.

"The KPK Board of Directors has provided critical notes for the Enforcement and Execution Department to improve the timeliness of the delivery of notification of searches, seizures, and SP3 for legal certainty," he said.

In the field of ethical enforcement, KPK Dewas Member Sumpeno said that his party was perfecting the Supervisory Board Regulation (Perdewas) regarding the KPK employee's code of ethics and code of conduct. Until now, the discussion of the inventory list of problems has reached about 80 percent.

In addition, Dewas also noted that there were two ethics trials that took place during Semester I 2026, including one case which was a continuation of a complaint received in 2025.

Not only that, Dewas has submitted 39 evaluation recommendations for performance which include the fields of education and community participation, prevention and monitoring, enforcement and execution, to the general secretariat.

Closing his presentation, Gusrizal emphasized that Dewas would continue to monitor the integrity of KPK personnel and open space for the public to submit criticism and complaints.

"The KPK Supervisory Board is open to input, criticism, and complaints from the public in order to realize a clean, authoritative, and trusted KPK," concluded Gusrizal.
