Mundo Deportivo wrote, Wednesday, May 13, the renewal of the central midfielder's contract had been completed. The two parties have agreed on all terms of the Brazilian player's contract extension.
Obviously, this progress will be a big boost for the club ahead of the return of La Liga next month. Moreover, the players have returned to training and are ready to play for the rest of the season.
Since returning to the Santiago Bernabeu in 2015, Casemiro has established himself as an effective protective midfielder. And now it looks like he will stay for the next few seasons guarding the Los Blancos midfield.
Casemiro has played 145 games and scored 16 goals for Madrid. The list of titles that he has won, among others; La Liga 2016–17, Copa del Rey 2013–14, Supercopa de España 2017 and 2019–20, Champions League 2013–14, 2015–16, 2016–17 and 2017–18, UEFA Super Cup 2016 and 2017, and FIFA Club World Cup 2016, 2017 and 2018.
