JCI Monday is Predicted to Continue to Strengthen, Four Stocks Worth Watching

JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) is predicted to continue strengthening in today's trading, Monday, August 3, after last weekend closed up 0.8 percent to 6,236.1.

The JCI managed to strengthen 10.5 percent MoM in July 2026, after six consecutive months the JCI recorded negative monthly returns.

The majority of indexes on Asian exchanges also closed higher, although geopolitical tensions in the Middle East heated up again after Iran attacked US assets and military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain.

Crude oil prices corrected more than 1 percent. The rupiah closed up 0.49 percent at Rp18,022 per US dollar in the spot market, in line with the weakening of the US dollar.
