Jakarta Fashion Week Collaboration with LEPAS, Carrying the New Energy Lifestyle Trend

TANGERANG - Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) is taking steps to collaborate with the premium New Energy Vehicle (NEV) brand, LEPAS, in strengthening the trend of modern urban lifestyles.

This step is seen as an effort to capture the shift in the lifestyle of urban people. Currently, vehicles are no longer considered as mere means of transportation, but have transformed into a medium of self-expression and part of personal identity.

Chairman of the Jakarta Fashion Week, Svida Alisjahbana, revealed that the decision to establish this cooperation was based on the common vision between the two parties in seeing the current trends.

"We see today's automotive, as well as today's fashion, it goes back to the user. They are looking for authenticity and we see in LEPAS that the premium market but accessible, we are also at the Jakarta Fashion Week always bring the forefront, the premium, and also accessible. So this is a very strong collaboration," said Svida when interviewed at the GIIAS 2026 exhibition, ICE BSD, Tangerang, Saturday, August 2.

Svida added, "The visitors to JFW are a group that is open to new innovations. "The people who attend the Jakarta Fashion Week are early adopters in fashion. As early adopters, they are more open to seeing the leading cars. So we see this as a suitable way to communicate the Jakarta Fashion Week community to experiment with LEPAS," he added.

The curation process to combine fashion designs with the aesthetic character of this vehicle requires preparation for about seven months. The results of the curation were realized through a fashion show on the LEPAS booth runway with the theme "New Energy, New Lifestyle", featuring the works of local designers, Othman and Danjyo Hiyoji.

In terms of manufacturing, LEPAS welcomes this collaboration as a form of strengthening the brand's position in the lifestyle segment. Vice Country Director of LEPAS Indonesia, Temmy Wiradjaja, said that design and fashion are intuitive elements that complement each other in the driving philosophy.

"For LEPAS, design has always had a greater role than just aesthetics. Design is our way of bringing experience, character, and emotion into every journey," said Temmy.

"Therefore, collaborating with Jakarta Fashion Week feels very natural, because we both believe that good design is not only beautiful to look at, but also able to become part of someone's lifestyle," he added.

Temmy explained that the focus of this cooperation is aimed at people who pay high attention to appearance and lifestyle as a whole, not just moving the travel point.

"Driving a car is not just moving from one place to another, but also expressing the lifestyle of the owner," said Temmy.

In its participation in GIIAS 2026, LEPAS launched two flagship electrification vehicles with the spirit of "Drive Your Elegance", namely LEPAS E4 EV and LEPAS L8 PHEV.

Regarding the expansion strategy, LEPAS is currently focusing on strengthening the foundation of the service network in Indonesia before pushing the sales figure massively.

"Currently we are talking about how we prepare the network first in major cities in Indonesia, both in terms of sales and after sales. After that, we will focus on sales volume," concluded Temmy.
