Celebrate the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, IJTI Jakarta Raya and Kodam Jaya Hold a Football Tournament for Journalists
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Television Journalists Association (IJTI) Jakarta Raya together with Kodam Jaya/Jayakarta held a football tournament between journalists in commemoration of the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia and the 28th Anniversary of IJTI, Saturday.
The tournament, which was held at the Makodam Jaya/Jayakarta Field and was attended by around 180 journalists from various working groups (Pokja) in the Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi regions, was an event to strengthen camaraderie as well as strengthen solidarity among the press.
Chairman of the IJTI Jakarta Raya Tatang Z Putra, said that the activity was not only a celebration momentum, but also a means of building togetherness among journalists who are on duty every day covering various events in their respective regions.
In addition, the tournament is also part of efforts to strengthen relations between the IJTI Jakarta Raya and Kodam Jaya as strategic partners in supporting the dissemination of accurate information to the public.
"This activity is a step to strengthen the relationship between journalists and at the same time establish good relations with Kodam Jaya so that in the future the synergy in delivering information to the public can continue to be well established," Tatang said in a written statement, Saturday (1/8).
Meanwhile, the General Chair of IJTI Herik Kurniawan gave an appreciation to the managers and organizers of IJTI Jakarta Raya who were considered successful in organizing the tournament well.
"I express my appreciation to my friends at IJTI Jakarta Raya who have organized this football tournament. This activity is part of the celebration of the 28th anniversary of IJTI and welcoming the 81st anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia," said Herik.
According to Herik, sports competitions like this become a space for journalists to relieve themselves after undergoing a busy coverage routine. Even though they compete professionally every day in presenting news, the spirit of brotherhood remains the main value that is maintained.
"The most important thing is that we can establish a relationship. Every day we may compete on the field while looking for news, but through activities like this we can gather, share, and build a new spirit to continue producing positive journalistic works for the community," he said.
On this occasion, IJTI Jakarta Raya also conveyed an appreciation to Kodam Jaya/Jayakarta which had facilitated and provided full support for the organization of the tournament.
Gratitude was also expressed to the sponsors who had contributed to the success of the activity, namely BTN, the DKI Jakarta Communication, Informatics and Statistics Office (Diskominfotik), Dompet Dhuafa, PLN, Djarum Foundation, Summarecon, GoTo, H. Yusuf Hamka, and DKI Jakarta Dispora.
The IJTI Jakarta Raya Cup Minisoccer Tournament for Journalists was attended by around 180 participants from various Pokja in Jakarta and the buffer area, including Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi.
In the competition, the Depok Pokja Team managed to come out as the first champion. The runner-up position was won by the Central Jakarta Pokja Team, while the joint third place was given to the Bekasi Pokja Team and the West Jakarta Pokja Team.
In addition to the trophy, the committee also gave coaching money to the winners. The first champion received a trophy and coaching money of Rp. 6 million, the second champion received a trophy and coaching money of Rp. 4 million, while the third champion together received a trophy and coaching money of Rp. 3 million each.
The committee also gave individual awards to the top scorer and best player as a form of appreciation for the best performance during the tournament.
Through this activity, IJTI Jakarta Raya hopes that the spirit of togetherness, sportsmanship, and solidarity among journalists will continue to be maintained, so that it can strengthen professionalism in carrying out journalistic duties and presenting accurate, balanced, and useful information for the community.
