PERURI Promotes Digitalization of Public Services through the Dissemination of Electronic Seals to the Indonesian Quarantine Agency
PERURI strengthens its support for the digital transformation of public services through socialization activities on the use and verification of the Electronic Seal to the Indonesian Quarantine Agency (Barantin) at Building E, BARANTIN Office, South Jakarta, on Tuesday, July 7. This activity aims to increase the understanding of quarantine officials regarding the use of the Electronic Seal to support a faster, safer, more efficient, and more reliable government administration process.
As the use of digital documents in government services increases, the ability to use and verify Electronic Seals becomes increasingly important. This is necessary to ensure the authenticity of documents, maintain data integrity, and increase security in electronic transactions. In addition, the Electronic Seal serves as a proof of payment of the Stamp Duty on digital documents.
The use of the Electronic Seal provides various benefits in the administrative process, including being more practical and efficient, can be used anytime and anywhere, and supports the reduction of paper or paperless use. The Electronic Seal is also equipped with a layered security system to minimize the risk of forgery and support the equality of the use of paper documents and valid electronic documents.
In this activity, PERURI introduced the Electronic Seal as one of the digital trust instruments or digital trust that can be integrated into various public service systems. This integration can also be applied to the service platform owned by the Indonesian Quarantine Agency which is used by the public to apply for, extend, and register quarantine facilities online.
Through system integration, users can affix an Electronic Seal directly through the service application without having to switch to another platform. The mechanism is expected to provide a more practical service experience, accelerate administrative completion, and support the realization of fully digital public services.
In addition to discussing system integration, participants gained an understanding of the process of verifying the authenticity of the Electronic Seal. Verification is carried out not only to ensure the validity of the seal, but also to find out the attachment of the Electronic Seal to the original document, so that any changes to the document can be identified.
"The process of implementing and verifying the Electronic Seal is not only limited to ensuring the status of valid documents, but also ensuring that the Electronic Seal remains bound to the original document. With this understanding, quarantine officials are expected to be able to check digital documents more accurately, effectively, and in accordance with applicable regulations," said Head of Digital Commercial PERURI, Shitta Marsela, quoted Saturday, August 1.
PERURI also conveyed a number of alternatives that can be used by the public and institutions to obtain and affix Electronic Seals as needed. One of them is through the Desktop Seal application, which allows users to affix Electronic Seals directly from a laptop or computer. After the application is installed, users can process documents without having to upload them to another platform, so that the sealing process becomes more practical and the confidentiality of documents is maintained.
The public can also obtain the Electronic Seal through PERURI's official distributors, namely PT Peruri Digital Security, PT Mitra Pajakku, PT Mitracomm Ekasarana, and PT Pos Indonesia. In addition, purchases can be made through the official PERURI reseller portal at meterai-elektronik.com which can be used by individuals and corporations.
Through this socialization, PERURI hopes that more government agencies and the public will understand the use and benefits of the Electronic Seal as part of the digital public service ecosystem. The use of the Electronic Seal not only provides convenience in the administrative process, but also supports modern, efficient, safe, and reliable public service governance.
