Hotel Pullman Grogol Petamburan Jakbar Fire, 14 Fire Engine Units Dispatched
JAKARTA - A fire hit the Pullman Hotel located on Jalan Letjen S. Parman, Tanjung Duren Selatan Village, Grogol Petamburan District, West Jakarta, on Saturday morning.
The West Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat), Syaiful Kahfi, when confirmed in Jakarta, Saturday, said that his party moved quickly to the location after receiving a report of the incident at 07.59 WIB.
"Officers were immediately dispatched one minute after the report was received," said Syaiful, quoting Antara.
A total of 14 fire trucks and 70 personnel were deployed to the location to put out the fire.
The extinguishing operation, which began intensively at 08.05 WIB, managed to localize the fire, so that it did not spread.
"Currently, the situation at the location of the fire has been under control and officers are still carrying out the cooling process since 08.15 WIB to ensure that there are no remaining fire points that could potentially trigger a follow-up fire," said Syaiful.
Until this news was released, the status of handling in the Pullman Hotel area was in the yellow category, and officers were still at the location to complete the blackout completely.
There are no official details regarding the exact cause of the fire or the total material losses due to the incident.
