Mudryk Can Return to Play After Doping Case Sentence Lifted

JAKARTA - English League club Chelsea footballer Mykhailo Mudryk expressed his joy at being able to return to play after a four-year ban for doping was officially lifted.

Quoted from his official Instagram account, Saturday, August 1, Mudryk said this process has ended and he has been allowed to play football again, and now I can look to the future.

The Ukrainian player said this was the most difficult time in his career and he emphasized that from the beginning of this case he had never consciously or intentionally consumed any prohibited substances.

"My commitment to compete fairly and represent the club and country with professionalism and integrity has always been important to me," Mudryk said, as quoted by ANTARA.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk player also thanked his family and friends for their support and trust during this difficult time.

Mudryk also expressed his deep gratitude to all parties at Chelsea, teammates, and Chelsea supporters who have always accompanied him.

"My focus now is to get back playing football, training hard every day, and making a positive contribution on the pitch," Mudryk said.

Meanwhile, Chelsea also made an official statement after Mudryk's ban was officially lifted, welcoming the Ukrainian player with great joy.

"We understand how important this opportunity to return is for him. Our focus at the moment is to support Misha's reintegration into the squad and help him continue his career. Everyone at the Club is now excited to help Misha recover fully, return to the squad, and return to action on the field," the statement said.
