Kuwait Still Target of Iranian Drone Attack, Targeting Military Facilities

JAKARTA - The Kuwaiti Army intercepted an Iranian drone that attempted to target military facilities.

"Iran's heinous aggression targeted a number of vital and military facilities; the hostile targets were successfully dealt with and destroyed, resulting in material damage due to debris falling, but did not cause any casualties," a military spokesman said via the X platform, reported by CNN, Friday, July 31.

Iranian forces said they targeted Ahmad al-Jaber Air Base on Friday, July 31, and released a video showing Iranian forces launching projectiles towards Kuwait, according to Iran's state-run media outlet, Press TV.

The Iranian military said the attack was a response to a US attack on Qeshm Island. According to state media, a couple and their child were killed in their home as a result of the attack.

Iran has previously targeted US infrastructure at military bases in neighboring countries in response to American attacks on its territory.
