Kadin Claims to Have Entered 866 MBG Kitchens, 128 in 3T Region

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Anindya Bakrie reported four quick or quick win programs of Kadin to President Prabowo Subianto. One of them is support for the Free Nutritious Meal or MBG program.

Anindya said that Kadin began to consolidate its strength since receiving instructions from Prabowo in early 2025. The four quick wins were chosen because they were considered to have a major impact on the economy.

"We immediately consolidated all kinds of forces in Kadin and launched four quick wins," said Anindya at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Friday, July 31.

The first program is the MBG Gotong Royong Task Force. Anindya said that Kadin had contributed to 866 kitchens. Of that number, 128 are in the 3T area. 3T is a lagging, leading, and outermost area.

"Today, Kadin has contributed to 866 kitchens and 128 of them are 3T," he said.

Anindya said Kadin focused on MBG because the program had a multiplier effect. He quoted a UNICEF study which said that every one dollar could generate a multiplier effect of 3 to 15 dollars.

The second program is the Free Health Examination Task Force or PKG. Anindya said Kadin had also launched a white paper themed Health is the New Wealth.

According to Anin, the health sector is worth Rp670 trillion. Every one rupiah that is spent is said to be able to generate two to three rupiah.

The third program is the protection and improvement of the delivery of migrant workers. Anindya said there were 208,000 Indonesian migrant workers who wanted to be encouraged through certification and training to be promoted.

He said that foreign exchange from migrant workers was in fourth place with a value of 17.19 dollars, after iron and steel, coal, and palm oil.

The fourth program is the renovation of uninhabitable houses. Anindya said that Kadin has supported the three million house program since the beginning because the housing sector has a major impact and can create 19 million jobs.
