Prabowo Satisfaction Figure Drops, Istana: We Work Not to Find Surveys

The Presidential Palace responded to the results of the Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC) survey which showed a decrease in public satisfaction with President Prabowo Subianto's performance. The government emphasized that it would continue to prioritize the implementation of programs for the community, not pursuing survey results.

The Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi said that from the beginning, President Prabowo had instructed all levels of government to focus on realizing programs that provide direct benefits to the community.

"From the beginning we always say that we are working not in the context of looking for surveys," said Prasetyo while traveling to Jakarta by train, Thursday, July 30, after accompanying President Prabowo Subianto on a working visit to Semarang and Batang, Central Java.

The statement was made in response to the results of the SMRC survey conducted on July 5-19, 2026. The survey recorded the public's satisfaction with President Prabowo's performance at 51.1 percent, consisting of 46.3 percent of respondents who stated that they were quite satisfied and 4.8 percent were very satisfied. This figure is lower than the results of the previous period survey.

Prasetyo emphasized that all government policies were designed based on community needs, not to increase electability or boost public satisfaction levels.

"We believe in what we are doing, the programs decided by the President, the programs that are now being worked on by all ministries and agencies, are all oriented towards the interests of the community," he said.

According to Prasetyo, the government is currently still focused on accelerating various national strategic programs, ranging from strengthening food security, energy security, to accelerating industrialization.

He ensured that the government would not be influenced by the dynamics of survey results and remained committed to carrying out all programs in accordance with promises to the public.

"We are confident that the people will be able to accept everything we are running as a campaign promise, as our common ideals, as a nation and state that wants to progress, wants to be prosperous, and independent in various fields," he concluded.
