The Palace Says the Increase in Tukin is Not Only for the TNI

JAKARTA - Secretary of State Prasetyo Hadi said the increase in performance allowances was not only aimed at the TNI or the Ministry of Defense. The government also pays attention to teachers, lecturers, and health workers who serve in the 3T area.

The 3T area is a lagging, leading, and outermost area. This region usually has more difficult public service, access, and infrastructure challenges.

Prasetyo explained that performance allowances or tukin apply to all ministries and agencies. The amount varies according to the provisions and policies of each agency.

"It is actually a performance allowance that is comprehensive, in all ministries and agencies, there is what is called a performance allowance that is different in size," said Prasetyo at the Kereta Nusantara Explorer on the way from Semarang to Jakarta, Thursday, July 30.

According to Prasetyo, there are several institutions or groups that receive the policy of increase after years of not experiencing changes.

"There are some who, due to certain considerations, were given the policy to be raised after so many years without ever going up," he said.

He then gave an example of the TNI and the Ministry of Defense. However, Prasetyo emphasized that the government's attention was also given to personnel working in difficult areas.

"For example, some are not only in the TNI and the Ministry of Defense but also for teachers in the 3T area, for lecturers in the 3T area, for health workers in the 3T area," he said.

Prasetyo said the government paid attention to their allowances and welfare because the duties in the 3T area were not easy.

"We pay attention to allowances or welfare for those who devote themselves to places that are quite difficult," he said.
