Prabowo Targets Waste Issues in Indonesia to be Resolved by the End of 2027
BATANG - President Prabowo Subianto has asked that the problem of waste in Indonesia can be resolved by the end of 2027. He said that this needs to be done to attract tourists to the country.
This was revealed by Prabowo at the Mass KPR Sejahtera Akad event through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) scheme held in Batang Regency, Central Java, Thursday, July 30.
"And God willing, in one or two years we will make drastic changes. We will control garbage, at the end of 2027 the problem of garbage in Indonesia I ask you to be finished, brothers and sisters," said Prabowo.
"There is no more garbage mountain, we will achieve this, we will achieve it," he continued.
According to Prabowo, tourism is a very large job creator. For this reason, the waste problem must be immediately resolved to attract tourists to visit the country.
"Tourism is a very large job creator, but tourists will not want to come to a dirty city, he will not come to a beach full of plastic and garbage, he does not want to come to see rivers and rivers full of garbage," he said.
In addition to being unhealthy, continued Prabowo, garbage can also tarnish the dignity of a nation. Therefore, the Head of State asked, all parties to work together to make all cities in Indonesia free of garbage.
"In addition to being unhealthy for us, it is not good for our self-esteem. We must be determined to clean all our cities, clean all our rivers," he added.
