Free Treatment to TOGA Garden is an Effort to Create Healthy Families
JAKARTA - Improving the quality of life of the community does not only depend on the availability of health facilities, but also on a clean and supportive environment for daily life.
Various initiatives that combine health services with environmental preservation are considered to provide more sustainable benefits for the community.
In a number of areas, activities such as free treatment, health checks, and the development of family medicine gardens (TOGA) have begun to become part of efforts to expand access to health services while encouraging people to be more concerned about the environment.
One of the programs that was recently held was a free medical service and a simple health check-up for residents in Kadu Village, Tangerang Regency.
The activities include health checks, medical consultations, and the provision of medication according to the results of the diagnosis of health workers. A total of 130 residents participated in this service as part of efforts to increase awareness of the importance of early detection and periodic health checks.
Apart from health services, attention to the environment is also realized through the development of the Seruni PKK Garden in Cukanggalih Village. The garden is not only used to plant family medicine plants, but also serves as an educational tool for the community regarding the utilization of productive land, environmental management, and the importance of maintaining the sustainability of resources around the residence.
The program is also equipped with the provision of plant seeds, assistance for PKK cadres, to supporting facilities such as separate garbage bins to encourage better habits of managing waste.
Efforts to maintain the environment are also carried out through community activities to clean residential areas. Residents together with various parties clean water channels, transport garbage, and arrange the environment to remain clean and reduce the potential for flooding during the rainy season.
This kind of activity is considered not only to create a healthier environment, but also to strengthen community awareness of cleanliness in their area.
Paramount Land Director, Norman Daulay, said that the development of the area should not only focus on physical development, but also provide benefits for the community and the environment.
"We believe that city development is not only measured by physical quality, but also the real contribution of companies to the community and the surrounding environment. Paramount Petals consistently and sustainably carries out various CSR programs to provide sustainable benefits, encourage active participation of the surrounding community, and build a healthy, comfortable, and harmonious environment. Through various flagship social programs, Paramount Land will continue to present relevant and impactful social initiatives as part of its commitment to grow together with the community," he said.
The synergy between health services and environmental preservation is considered a complementary approach. On the one hand, the community has access to basic examinations and treatments.
On the other hand, various environmental empowerment programs help build clean living habits, utilize land productively, and maintain environmental sustainability as part of efforts to create better quality of life.
Through this approach, public health is not only understood as an effort to treat diseases, but also as a result of a clean environment, healthy living behaviors, and active involvement of residents in maintaining their homes. The combination of the two is an important foundation in creating a healthier and sustainable community.
