Agency Denies Hwang Jung Min Cheating, Calls Reporter a Stalker
JAKARTA - The SEM Company agency released a statement containing a rebuttal to the news that their actor, Hwang Jung Min, cheated on a woman. This news began to develop after an individual shared his relationship experience with the actor.
This individual admitted that he had been dating Hwang Jung Min since 2024 even though the actor had been married since 2004 and had two children. He also uploaded several recordings containing his voice with the actor.
The agency denied the allegations and said the woman who uploaded the footage was an extreme stalker who had been reported to the police and received a fine.
"The individual behind the upload regarding Hwang is a suspect in a stalking case that continues to harass the actor," said SEM Company as Hwang Jung Min's agency on Wednesday, July 29.
"The court issued three restraining orders to the suspect, including an order not to contact and issued a fine of three million Won after finding the suspect guilty of stalking," he continued.
Considering that the upload has spread in various contexts, the agency issued a statement that they would take legal action against those who continue to spread the upload.
"We sincerely apologize for this news," SEM Company's agency concluded.
Hwang Jung Min debuted as an actor in 1990. He is one of South Korea's legendary actors who has been in the business for three decades. He is also the figure behind several Korean films that have reached 10 million viewers.
