FUJIFILM Indonesia Supports Hepatitis B & C Screening with Ultrasound Technology for Early Detection of Liver Disease

JAKARTA - FUJIFILM Indonesia has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the improvement of health services by providing an ultrasound (USG) device to support the implementation of hepatitis B & C screening at the 2026 PPHI-PGI-PEGI National Congress and Scientific Meeting in Yogyakarta.

The activity will take place on July 25-26, 2026, ahead of World Hepatitis Day which is commemorated every July 28. In this activity, FUJIFILM Indonesia presents ultrasound technology (USG) to help medical personnel quickly, accurately, and non-invasively evaluate the participants' liver condition.

The ultrasonography technology is equipped with a Shear Wave Measurement (SWM) feature that allows medical personnel to measure the level of liver tissue stiffness (liver stiffness) quantitatively. The measurement helps doctors detect liver fibrosis due to hepatitis B and hepatitis C non-invasively, so that changes in liver tissue can be detected earlier without painful procedures.

In addition to SWM technology, the ultrasound system produces high-quality imaging that helps visualize the liver structure more clearly and accurately. This ability supports a faster, safer, and more efficient examination process, as well as helping to monitor the condition of patients with liver disease. President Director of FUJIFILM Indonesia, Masato Yamamoto, said early detection plays an important role in increasing the chances of treating liver disease.
