Prabowo's message at the inauguration of the IPDN: Must be present when the people are in trouble

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto led the inauguration ceremony of 1,204 young village heads of the Institute of Internal Government (IPDN) XXXIII Class of 2026 at the Parade Field of the IPDN Campus, Jatinangor, Sumedang Regency, West Java, Wednesday, July 29. The President invited the young village heads to dedicate themselves fully to the people, nation, and country.

"On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, on behalf of the Indonesian state and nation, and on my own behalf, I congratulate all the young village heads who have been officially inaugurated today," said Prabowo in his message.

The President expressed his appreciation to all graduates who had completed their education and were ready to take on the task as government officials. According to Prabowo, being a village head is not just a profession, but a way of serving the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

"Today, you have chosen a noble way of life, a way of life to serve the people, the nation, and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," he said.

Prabowo reminded young village heads to always be present in the community, especially when facing difficult situations and disasters. A village head, he said, must be able to be a servant and leader who gives hope to the community.

"Brothers must be pamong praja who are present when the people are facing difficulties. You must be a beacon of hope," said the president.

The President also appreciated the dedication of young officials who had been deployed for one month to help handle the disaster in Aceh Province before being officially inaugurated. The experience was considered proof of their readiness to carry out their duties as state apparatus.

"Brothers must be a pillar of support and leadership for the community. Brothers, you are the pamong praja generation who have been directly involved for 1 month in helping to handle disasters in Aceh," he explained.

A total of 1,204 young village cadres graduated from the IPDN applied government science bachelor's program who were inaugurated today, consisting of 728 men and 476 women. All graduates will be placed in central and local government agencies throughout Indonesia, including in the lagging, leading, and outermost (3T) regions, as needed by the state civil apparatus (ASN).

On this occasion, President Prabowo also gave awards to the 10 best graduates as a form of appreciation for academic achievements during their education at IPDN. The Kartika Astha Brata award was given to Aji Bayu Ramadhan, while the Sapta Adhi Praja award was handed over to the other nine best graduates.
