Middle East Situation Still Turbulent, Government Ensures Subsidized Fuel Does Not Rise

Jakarta - Energy and Mineral Resources Minister (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia has ensured that subsidized fuel and LPG prices will not rise. This was conveyed at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 28.

According to Bahlil, the government will continue to keep subsidized fuel and LPG prices from rising even though the conflict in the Middle East has not ended. The conflict has resulted in global energy prices being unstable, moving up and down.

However, the government assessed that domestic reserves were still sufficient to maintain supply. Bahlil did not mention how long the stock could meet national needs.

During the meeting, President Prabowo also asked the government to pay special attention to the supply of fuel for fishermen. The availability of fuel is considered to be maintained so that their business activities are not disrupted.
