Jabodetabek Temperature Today Reaches 34 Degrees, Residents Urged to Avoid Sun's Heat

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the weather in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) regions on Tuesday, July 28, will be dominated by cloudy to cloudy conditions with air temperatures ranging from 22 to 34 degrees Celsius.

The relatively stable weather conditions are expected to support community activities, although an increase in cloud cover is still potentially occurring in the afternoon and evening in some areas during the dry season.

In the DKI Jakarta area, the weather is expected to be cloudy from morning to noon, then cloudy in the afternoon to evening. The air temperature ranges from 25 to 34 degrees Celsius with a humidity level of 45-85 percent.

South Jakarta and East Jakarta are expected to be the areas with the highest temperature reaching 34 degrees Celsius, while Central Jakarta, West Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands are in the range of 25-33 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the Bogor area is predicted to experience sunny cloudy weather with air temperatures between 22 to 31 degrees Celsius. The Puncak, Cisarua, and South Bogor Regency areas remain the region with the coldest temperature in Jabodetabek, especially in the morning and evening. Although the chance of rain is relatively low, an increase in cloud cover is expected in the afternoon.

In Depok City, the weather is predicted to be sunny with a temperature ranging from 24 to 33 degrees Celsius. Similar conditions are also expected in Tangerang with a temperature of 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.

Bekasi is estimated to be one of the hottest areas in Jabodetabek with a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius during the day. The weather, which tends to be sunny, is expected to support community activities, but residents are urged to limit activities under the scorching sun for a long time to avoid the risk of dehydration.

BMKG urges the public to maintain adequate body fluids, use protection from direct sunlight such as hats, umbrellas, or sunscreen, and not burn garbage or land considering the dry weather conditions can increase the potential for fires.

The public is also advised to continue monitoring the latest weather information through the official BMKG channel as a precautionary measure against changes in atmospheric conditions.

In general, the weather in Jabodetabek on Tuesday is expected to be conducive for office activities, travel, and outdoor activities. The chance of rain is relatively small, but local weather changes can still occur in the afternoon and evening in some places so that the public is still advised to update weather forecast information before engaging in activities.
