Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia asks the market not to panic with Perry Warjiyo's resignation

Jakarta - Perry Warjiyo's resignation as Governor of Bank Indonesia has created an issue related to market panic.

The acting governor of the Bank Indonesia (BI) Destry Damayanti emphasized that the market should not panic.

According to Destry, Bank Indonesia will continue to carry out policies that have been carried out previously, including the policy stance and exchange rate stability will remain the key to Bank Indonesia's policies.

This was conveyed by Destry to reporters after meeting President Prabowo at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday, July 27.

Regarding Perry Warjiyo's resignation, Destry confirmed that this had been conveyed by the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi.
