One Stage with Charly and Andika, Radja Carrying a Concert Without Distance in 25 Years of Work

JAKARTA - Radja Band is preparing to mark 25 years of working in the Indonesian music industry through a concert titled "RADJA 25 Years of Working: Celebrating 25th Mahakarya".

The show, which will be held on August 20 at the Bengkel Hall, SCBD, South Jakarta, promises an intimate concept designed specifically without distance between personnel and audience.

Radja's guitarist, Moldy, confirmed that this time the show was packaged differently from the series of concerts they had held before. His party carries out direct interaction with the audience so that this quarter-century celebration feels much more emotional and memorable.

"This is a concert without distance, yes. The title can be conceptual, but in the presentation of the concert, I want us to be as close as possible. Because idols are nothing without fans. This is more of a concert without distance," said Moldy in a press conference at Blok M, South Jakarta, Monday, July 27.

In line with the guitarist, the frontman Radja, Ian Kasela, revealed that this 25th anniversary was unexpectedly born from a casual chat with old relatives. He called this event a place to break down the barriers of exclusivity that usually limit musicians and listeners when they are on stage.

"For 25 years, if I remember correctly, we have never been close to the audience. So the concert is kind of a distance. Here I did say, I want the concept to be close, really close. We open up space for more communicative," said Ian Kasela.

Not only performing their best hits, the band group that popularized the songs "Cinderella" and "Honest" also collaborated with a number of musicians. This historic moment will present the first collaboration on one stage with Charly Vanhouten (Setia Band) and Andika Mahesa (Kangen Band), in addition to performances from Diskopantera, Cinderella, AXN, NAVA, to Frequents.

"It can be set, it has never been on the same stage. Small stage, big stage has never been, and only here. Radja with Kangen has been, Radja with Charly has also been, but the three of them at once have never been like that," added Ian.

Furthermore, Yadi Sudiadi, Project Manager Hype Live as a promoter, said that the big idea of presenting the atmosphere of music from the 2000s to the 2010s is an effort to revive the glory of Malay pop music in the midst of the current independent music trend.

"I'm trying to try to revive music from 2001 to 2010. Because Ian is Malay, so I try to collaborate with Charly, there is Andika to collaborate here. This is a moment that may not come again," said Yadi.

The organizer divided the audience's access into two ticket categories, namely the Regular (Festival) category for Rp250,000 which can be purchased through the Goers platform, and the VVIP (Exclusive) category which is priced in the range of Rp6,000,000 to Rp8,000,000 through direct reservation to Space Workshop. This digital ticket sale will also be fully supported by a special campaign from the Goers platform to reach a fan base from various generations.
