President Zelensky Claims Ukraine is Getting Stronger but Not Enough to Stop President Putin

JAKARTA - President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Monday that Ukraine had become stronger during more than four years of war with Russia, but still lacked the military power needed to stop President Vladimir Putin.

In an interview with Sky News, President Zelenskyy said Ukraine had expanded its production of weapons in the country, including drones and missiles, and launched long-range attacks inside Russia to increase pressure on Moscow.

"We are as strong as we are now, but it is not enough to stop Putin," he said, launching Anadolu (27/7).

He said Ukraine's long-range offensive campaign was aimed at bringing the consequences of the war to Russia.

"What we are trying to do (is) make this challenge also for Russia, otherwise they will not feel that the war is everywhere, not only in Ukraine," President Zelensky said.

"That's why we started our long-range strike operation, just to respond," he said.

President Zelensky also said Ukraine's growing long-range strike capabilities had disrupted Russian fuel and logistics supplies, increasing pressure on the Kremlin.

The Ukrainian leader said stronger international support remained essential, calling for tighter sanctions and additional air defense systems.

"We need strong partners and partners must be stronger with sanctions against Russia," he said.

He claimed President Putin was preparing for the next round of military mobilization after Russia's regional elections in September.

"I got information from intelligence," claimed President Zelensky, adding that Russia could try to mobilize between 300,000 and 500,000 additional troops.

President Zelensky also warned Russia of deepening military cooperation with North Korea, Iran, and China.

According to him, North Korea can send 30,000 soldiers to Russia, while Iran may provide additional missiles.

He also claimed that China had increased cooperation with Moscow, including in satellite technology.
