JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Team (Timnas) will start their journey in the 2026 ASEAN Championship (AFF Cup 2026) by facing Cambodia at Pakansari Stadium on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 20.30 WIB.
Indonesia National Team head coach John Herdman has called up 26 players who will strengthen the Garuda Squad at the 2026 ASEAN Championship.
In the squad list, the combination of experienced players and young talents is back to be Herdman's mainstay in an effort to bring Indonesia to compete for the title of the prestigious Southeast Asian football tournament for the first time.
The ASEAN Championship will run from July 24, 2026 to August 26, 2026. The Indonesian national team has never tasted the title of champion.
The best achievement of the Garuda Squad is the runner-up obtained in the 2000, 2002, 2004, 2010, 2016, and 2020 editions since the event began in 1996.
In the 2026 edition, the Indonesian National Team is included in Group A with Vietnam, Singapore, Cambodia, and East Timor. The Red-White team has the opportunity to play two home games and two away games during the group stage.
After hosting Cambodia, the Indonesian National Team will travel to Timor Leste in Chonburi, Thailand (July 31, 2026), return home to face Vietnam (August 3, 2026), and close the group stage journey against Singapore at Jalan Besar Stadium (August 7, 2026).
