GIIAS 2026 will be held soon Prepare more than 200 car and motorcycle test drives, there is a water obstacle for electric cars

JAKARTA - The Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 exhibition will take place again this week. There is always an opportunity to try out your dream vehicle through the test drive and test ride programs. This program is one of the main attractions of the GIIAS every year, because it provides an experience that makes visitors not only see, but also feel the performance and technology of the vehicles displayed during the event, namely on July 30 to August 9, 2026 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang. This year, more than 180 units of vehicles from 38 four-wheel brands and 20 units from 11 two-wheel vehicle brands are ready to be tried directly by visitors in the test drive and test ride areas that have been designed safely and comfortably. This driving experience is an opportunity for visitors to get to know more in-depth about various flagship features, electrification systems, safety technology, and cabin comfort from the latest cars and motorcycles. The GIIAS 2026 test drive area is located at the loading dock Hall 1 to Hall 10, presenting a track of more than two kilometers that gives visitors the opportunity to experience various driving situations in real conditions. One of the interesting features that will return this year is the Water Obstacle, namely a track with a condition of water puddles designed to test the ability of vehicles, especially electric cars. This facility provides a real picture of the performance and durability of vehicles in challenging conditions.

Not only for four-wheeled vehicles, visitors can also try out motorcycles from various categories ranging from electric scooters to sports bikes in the test ride area located in Hall 11. Visitors can experience the thrill of driving directly, equipped with safety equipment that has been prepared. Chairman of the Daily and Chairman of the GAIKINDO Exhibition and Conference Organizing Committee, Anton Kumonty, emphasized that the organizers continue to improve the GIIAS from various aspects, including on the convenience of facilities such as test drive and test ride areas. "We continue to improve the quality of the GIIAS every year to ensure visitor comfort and satisfaction, one of which is by presenting a safer, more comfortable, and representative test drive and test ride area," said Anton, in an official statement received, Monday, July 27. GIIAS consistently presents a test drive and test ride program as an important means for visitors to experience the performance and technology of vehicles directly, as well as helping to make decisions to be more confident before buying. To be able to experience all of this, visitors can buy GIIAS 2026 tickets online through the Auto360 website for Rp50,000 for weekdays (Monday-Friday) and Rp100,000 for weekends (Saturday-Sunday). Meanwhile, onsite tickets are also available at the exhibition site for Rp75,000 for weekdays and Rp125,000 for weekends.
