Amanda Manopo Reveals Dramatic Changes after Giving Birth, Hair Loss to Dull Skin

JAKARTA - Actress Amanda Manopo is blunt about the drastic changes she experienced after becoming a mother. Ahead of her baby's 2nd month, Amanda admitted that her expectations to return to her original condition turned out to be not as easy as imagined.

"After I gave birth, I thought it was over, I thought maybe I could go back to being like I used to be. Oh, it turns out not," said Amanda Manopo, quoted by VOI from Raditya Dika's YouTube channel, Monday, July 27.

He recounted that the breastfeeding period provided tremendous physical challenges every day.

"Breastfeeding also makes the body feel tired, get colds, hair loss, dull face, dry. Dry Dok, I don't understand why it's dry to the point of peeling the skin," he complained.

Apart from skin problems, Amanda highlighted the change in pigment on certain body areas that made her feel insecure.

"In the third trimester, I was black-black in the neck, and the folds were darker than before," he explained.

Hair problems are also a scourge for this Ikatan Cinta soap opera star because of the extreme hair loss.

"My hair fell out. I was like if I wash my hair, I'll be like this, it's all hair. I was afraid of being bald at that time," he added.

For Amanda, shampooing is now a ritual that is full of caution to maintain the remaining hair.

"When I wash my hair, I'm very slow, I can't do it if I used to do it set by set, now it's not, it's really like a gentle massage," he said.

In addition to physical, Amanda also felt the impact on her cognitive function which is often referred to as mommy brain.

"Sorry, I'm done breastfeeding, what's all that, the brain is a little reduced, you know, Kak, it's like I'm done with what I'm doing, right?" joked Amanda.

However, he felt relieved because this condition was a normal thing for new mothers to experience. "Fortunately, I didn't forget who my child was," he joked while laughing.

Despite being plagued by various physical problems, Amanda still tries to maintain her appearance by researching treatment products.

"I'm looking for products like how to make the folds and what makes me insecure, I take care of it," he said.

Amanda is now focused on enjoying her role as a mother even though she has to adapt to all the changes in her body.

"I can't wait to wait for him to grow up," concluded Amanda Manopo.
