KPK Questions Febrie Adriansyah for Not Being Banged and Wearing Pink Underwear While Detained: Attorney General's Investigation Authority

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is stingy in talking about the former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah who did not use the pink Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) prisoner vest and was not handcuffed.

KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said his party only provided the KPK Red and White Building Branch of the KPK. Meanwhile, the mechanism is regulated by investigators who handle corruption allegations that dragged Febrie Adriansyah.

The Attorney General's Office is known to have investigated a total of four Sprindik related to the transfer of Febrie's case from the Police. Finally, the 9 team has issued a new sprindic related to the alleged Criminal Money Laundering (TPPU) in the case of the discovery of gold weighing 74 kg and cash of hundreds of billions of rupiah at Febrie Adriansyah's house in Sentul, West Java

Meanwhile, the three sprindik include cases of alleged corruption in ASABRI, Krakatau Steel, and Coal Procurement for PLTU which had caused power outages or blackouts.

"Regarding the detention of the suspect, brother FA, everything is the authority of the investigator, in this case the investigator from the Attorney General's Office. And earlier it had also been explained at the Attorney General's Office regarding this matter," Budi told reporters, Friday night, July 24.

Likewise with the mechanism for Febrie's examination while in detention, Budi said, everything would be decided by the investigating officer.

"So later technically the investigators will certainly consider where the examination will be," he said.

Febrie was detained after undergoing an examination from 13.00 WIB. He was then named a suspect and detained afterwards.

However, during his detention, Febrie did not wear a pink or pink vest as usual for Kejaksaan detainees. He also admitted that he was criminalized.

"Today I have been examined as a suspect and detained. I have been investigated by the examining prosecutor, that the evidence submitted needs to be investigated or confirmed so that in my opinion this is not enough to be detained," said Febrie when he was taken to the KPK Detention Center.

"In the circular building it has never been like this, all the evidence must be confirmed and deepened first. And many times it is exposed, only then are we sure and not unjust, we set the suspects. But this has become a decision and I am ready to face it and I feel that this is criminalization."
