Iran Attacks Three US Bases in Kuwait
JAKARTA - The Iranian army said it had launched a drone attack on three US military bases in Kuwait in response to the superpower's aggression.
"During the 25th phase of Operation Thunder, the Iranian army launched a drone attack on warehouses of US terrorist soldiers in the Al-Adairi camp, the location of US forces in Camp Doha, and other enemy forces in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait," said the statement, quoted by Iran's national television station, IRIB, Friday, July 24.
"This attack is in response to enemy aggression," the statement added, as reported by ANTARA from Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
Tehran and Washington signed a memorandum on the night of June 18 to end the war that began on February 28. However, the US military has been attacking Iran again since July 8.
The US Central Command claimed the attack was in response to Iranian actions against merchant vessels crossing the Strait of Hormuz.
The Iranian military responded by attacking US bases in the Middle East and accusing Washington of violating the ceasefire agreement.
US President Donald Trump said the ceasefire was no longer in effect.
