Meghan Markle as a Guest Judge for MasterChef, This is the Response of the Participants

JAKARTA - Meghan Markle appeared as a surprise guest judge on MasterChef Australia and stunned the contestants.

The Mirror quoted Friday, July 24, saying the former star of the "Suits" series was introduced through Channel 10's latest promotional footage. The episode was recorded when Meghan visited Australia with Prince Harry in April and is scheduled to air Sunday.

In the clip, three MasterChef Australia judges, Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin, and Jean-Christophe Novelli, first introduced a mysterious guest. Meghan then entered the filming location in all-black clothes.

"I love amazing food ingredients and the farm to table concept. I'm really excited to follow this," Meghan said as she looked at a table filled with fresh fruit and vegetables.

The farm to table concept prioritizes fresh ingredients obtained directly or through a short line from producers.

Meghan's presence made Aaron Kher's participants look wrong. While fanning himself, he said, "Is this really happening?"

The clip also shows a number of dishes served to Meghan. One of them made the mother of two stunned.

"I even rubbed my temples because I didn't understand how it felt to be this comfortable," he said.

Another report said Meghan and her team members were upset after allegedly asking the producer of MasterChef Australia not to introduce her as a member of the royal family.

In a promotional video released on the day of the shoot, Poh Ling Yeow introduced Meghan to a word game that alluded to her royal status.

"We've had the 'royal family' of MasterChef in this kitchen, but nothing like this," said Poh.

"Coming all the way from sunny California, let's welcome to MasterChef Australia, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle."

According to New Idea, Poh felt unwell after the delivery.

"This is not about Meghan personally," a source told the media. "Poh feels that he was accidentally dragged into the royal protocol issue that he never wanted to follow."

Another source said Poh wanted to contact Meghan immediately to apologize. However, he was asked to hand over the matter to the production team.

After the trip to Australia, Meghan visited England with Prince Harry and their two children in June.

One of the photos Meghan uploaded showed the family's visit to Althorp, the Spencer family home in Northamptonshire. The place is now managed by Earl Spencer, Harry's uncle and Princess Diana's younger brother.
