Four Killed in Latest US Attack on Iran

JAKARTA - It is reported that four people were killed in attacks in several areas of Iran on Friday morning, according to Iranian state media.

Reported by CNN, Friday, July 24, the following are the locations that were reported to be targeted:

Khuzestan: Four reported deaths occurred in the western coastal province of Khuzestan, in what the provincial governor called a US attack on the city of Ahvaz, Iran's Press TV reported.

Several people were also injured, according to the report. Still in Khuzestan, missile attacks targeted locations near the cities of Andimeshk and Omidiye.

Western Azerbaijan: Piranshahr, a city in western Iran near the Iraqi border, was hit by an air strike, provincial authorities said, as reported by IRNA.

Markazi: The location in the outskirts of Khondab - which is located about 150 miles from Iran's capital, Tehran, in the central province of Markazi - was hit by two projectiles, the deputy governor of the province said according to IRNA.

Authorities are still assessing the victims and damage.

Lorestan: A projectile hit a location in the city of Khorramabad, said the deputy governor of the central Lorestan province according to IRNA. Authorities are still evaluating possible damage and casualties.

Hormozgan: Two people were wounded in an attack on the port city of Bandar Abbas, state broadcaster IRIB reported.
