Review SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09, Pramono Ensure Rehabilitation Starts September and Form Investigation Team
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has ensured that the rehabilitation of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09, which collapsed since November 2024, will begin to be carried out by September 2026 at the latest.
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has also formed an investigation and inventory team to investigate the causes of the building damage and prevent similar cases from being repeated in other schools.
Pramono conveyed this after directly reviewing the condition of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09. The school became the spotlight after the condition of the building went viral on social media because it had not been repaired.
"This building was actually built, the last renovation was in 2011. When you look at the frame, it looks easy that some are still intact, some are rusty, which then causes the existing damage," said Pramono at the location, Friday, July 24.
The DKI Provincial Government has also accelerated the rehabilitation process by combining funding sources from the building floor coefficient (KLB) and the 2026 budget year change budget. Before construction begins, the government will complete the administrative process in the form of asset write-off and project implementation designation.
"This rehabilitation will start at the latest in September. The latest September must start immediately. So August is the preparation for write-off, appointing the contractor, and in September it must have started to be built here," he said.
Pramono said the rehabilitation of the school was budgeted at Rp. 48.1 billion. The work is targeted to last 10 months, so that the building cannot be used when the 2027 new school year begins.
"The target here is 10 months. So if 10 months from September, just count it. If the new school year is 2027, not yet," he said.
In addition to accelerating rehabilitation, Pramono asked for an investigation and inventory team to be formed to evaluate the condition of the school building and its supervisory system.
According to him, the process of building educational buildings has not been entirely in the technical realm of the Education Office, so it needs supervision from the department that has competence in the field of construction.
"The investigation and inventory team is looking at, as I just saw easily, they know that the real problem was not properly prepared at that time, in 2011. And that's what I asked not to be repeated again," said Pramono.
"So there must be a supervisor for that. And I ask the supervisor not from the Education Office. This Education Office is the user. The supervisor is of course from another related agency," he continued.
He emphasized that the formation of the team was not only to investigate the causes of the damage at SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09, but also to inventory the condition of other school buildings so that similar problems would not occur again.
"Well, to do this, because I don't want this to happen again, there will be a supervisory team and an inventory team so that it doesn't happen again like it is now," he added.
