Peek at the Interior of the Suzuki XL7 Facelift: Premium and More Modern Features

JAKARTA - PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) presents a refresh on the New Suzuki XL7 by bringing a number of changes that not only focus on the exterior appearance, but also improve the quality of the interior and the completeness of the features. What's new inside?

In order to maintain competitiveness in the Low SUV (LSUV) segment, as well as meet the needs of consumers who want family vehicles with a more modern and comfortable cabin. The cabin area, the most noticeable change comes through the dominance of black on the synthetic leather seats combined with soft textured fabric, giving a more masculine feel.

Suzuki also revamped the dashboard display with a wood grain layout ornament panel in dark gray that was combined with a brown accent on the bottom. The touch makes the interior feel more elegant than the previous model.

Refreshing also touches the entertainment sector, now all variants of the New Suzuki XL7 are equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen head unit that replaces the 8-inch screen on the previous model. This device has supported Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless connectivity, making it easier for drivers and passengers to access navigation and enjoy entertainment directly from their smartphones during the trip.

"We are focusing on presenting a refresh that not only spoils the eyes, but also improves the function of comfort and safety in the cabin of the New Suzuki XL7," said Head of Product & PDI Center PT SIS Arif Aditya Rifai in South Jakarta, not long ago.

The steering area also received improvements through new touches on the steering garnish and console panel around the transmission lever, both for manual and automatic versions. Meanwhile, the three-row bench configuration is still maintained so that it can accommodate up to seven passengers.

Suzuki also still maintains a ventilated cup holder on the center console which serves to keep the temperature of the drink cold, one of the features that is a favorite of consumers in Indonesia. For the highest variant, the New Suzuki XL7 Alpha Hybrid gets additional more complete safety features.

This car is now equipped with a 360-degree camera that helps monitor the area around the vehicle when maneuvering or parking, as well as a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) that is capable of monitoring tire pressure in real time. Not only that, Suzuki also equips the XL7 Alpha Hybrid with an E-Mirror that has integrated a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) from Pioneer.

The device is capable of recording conditions during the journey as a safety support feature for drivers and families. In the performance sector, Suzuki still maintains the K15B engine with a capacity of 1,500 cc which produces 102.5 hp of power with 138 Nm of torque.

For the Beta and Alpha variants, the engine is combined with mild hybrid technology consisting of a 10 Ah lithium-ion battery and an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG). A five-speed manual transmission is still available on the Zeta and Beta variants, while the Alpha variant is only offered with an automatic transmission.
