Today Kejaksaan Check Febrie Adriansyah Again, Will He Be Immediately Detained?

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) has again summoned former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah (FA) who has been a suspect in the alleged corruption and money laundering (TPPU) cases. The re-summoning is scheduled to take place on Friday, July 24, raising public questions about whether Febrie will be immediately detained after being questioned.

Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, confirmed the re-summoning. According to him, this step was taken after Febrie did not meet the previous summons for an examination on Wednesday, July 22.

"The re-summoning is on Friday, July 24, 2026," Anang said in his statement, Thursday, July 23.

Anang explained that the examination was carried out based on the Investigation Order (Sprindik) Number Print-03/F.2/Fd.2/07/2026 dated July 20, 2026 which specifically handles the alleged TPPU.

The new Sprindik was issued after the Police handed over the handling of the case and the evidence in the form of gold weighing 74 kilograms and foreign exchange worth hundreds of billions of rupiah to the Attorney General's Office.

In the investigation, the Nine Team consisting of nine investigating prosecutors scheduled an examination of four people, namely FA, DR, NH, and TS, as well as an expert on TPPU on Wednesday.

However, Febrie was not present with the excuse of health conditions so the investigators decided to reschedule his examination today.

However, the Attorney General's Office has not confirmed whether Febrie will be immediately detained after meeting the call of investigators. Until now, Anang has only confirmed the agenda of the re-examination without providing information regarding the next legal steps.

Previously, the Attorney General's Office had issued three new sprindik following the transfer of cases from the Police. The three sprindik are related to alleged corruption and TPPU in handling the PT Krakatau Steel case, PLTU project, and PT Asabri.

The Attorney General's Office also emphasized that the issuance of the new sprindik did not remove or change the status of the suspect who had been designated by the Police against Febrie Adriansyah.

With the rescheduling of the re-examination of the suspects, public attention is now focused on the steps of the Attorney General's Office, including the possibility of detention if investigators consider that the subjective and objective conditions as stipulated in the Code of Criminal Procedure (KUHAP) have been met.
