Working Visit of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Aceh Tamiang, Brantas Abipraya Shows Commitment to Post-disaster Recovery

JAKARTA - PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) also accompanied the Working Visit of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives to Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh Province, in order to conduct field inspections and evaluate the role of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Karya in accelerating the provision of Hunian Danantara (Huntara) for people affected by the flood disaster, Wednesday, July 22.

This activity is an opportunity to ensure that the infrastructure development carried out by BUMN Karya, especially Brantas Abipraya through its contribution in building Huntara and supporting facilities in Aceh Tamiang. In the agenda, Commission VI of the DPR RI directly reviewed the location of Huntara which was built for flood-affected people in Aceh Tamiang Regency. The review was carried out to see the readiness of facilities, the quality of construction, and to ensure that the process of providing housing is carried out according to the needs of the community.

Director of Operations I of PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero), Muhammad Toha Fauzi, conveyed that Brantas Abipraya is committed to presenting infrastructure that is not only of high quality, but also provides a real social impact for the community.

"Brantas Abipraya always supports every strategic government program, both in accelerating infrastructure development and disaster management. Through the provision of Huntara for flood-affected communities as well as participation in the development of connectivity infrastructure, we want to ensure that every work we build provides real benefits, improves the quality of life of the community, as well as encourages sustainable regional economic growth," said Muhammad Toha Fauzi.

Furthermore, the construction of Huntara is a collaboration between Danantara Indonesia, BP BUMN, Regional Government, and BUMN Karya as an effort to accelerate post-disaster recovery, of course, by prioritizing the important factors in ensuring that every project runs properly, on time, and provides added value for the community. For additional information, in addition to 92 units of Huntara in Tamiang, Brantas Abipraya has also completed the construction of 146 units of Huntara in Pidie Regency.
