Jenius Extends Collaboration with POCARI SWEAT Run until 2028, Strengthens Digital Customer Acquisition Strategy
JAKARTA - PT Bank SMBC Indonesia Tbk through the Jenius digital service extends its collaboration as a co-title sponsor of the POCARI SWEAT Run until 2028.
This step is part of the company's strategy to strengthen closeness with digital savvy people while increasing customer engagement through a healthy lifestyle.
SMBC Indonesia Retail Banking Digital Platform & Innovation Head Febri Rusli said the trend of running has evolved into a part of people's lifestyles.
Therefore, Jenius took advantage of the momentum to provide a relevant experience for customers while strengthening its positioning as a digital bank that is close to daily activities.
According to him, this year's Jenius collaboration with Make-A-Wish Indonesia through the More Meaningful Run program.
Through this program, every runner who manages to reach the finish line at the offline race in Lombok and Bandung will be converted into donations for children with critical illnesses.
"We want every runner's step to not only be a personal achievement, but also have a social impact," said Febri in a written statement received by VOI, Thursday, July 23.
This collaboration continues the cooperation that has been taking place since 2023 and is now extended until 2028.
"This spirit is in line with the role of Jenius by SMBC Indonesia which invites digital savvy people to get out of the same mindset through relevant innovations and solutions. Because we believe, running is not only about achieving goals for yourself, but also about creating a meaningful impact for others," he said.
In the Lombok series held on July 11-12, 2026, as many as 9,200 runners managed to reach the finish line at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit. This number became the basis for the distribution of Jenius donations to Make-A-Wish Indonesia.
"We believe that every hope has the power to bring new spirit, happiness, and optimism to children with critical illnesses and their families," said Make-A-Wish Indonesia Chief Marketing Communication Miranti Hadisusilo.
He hopes that more runners will be inspired to take part in the journey to realize the hopes of critically ill children.
"Every step towards the finish line in the offline races in Lombok and Bandung is not only a personal achievement, but also brings new hope for children who are fighting against critical illnesses," he said.
In addition to presenting social activities, Jenius also opened an interactive area during the Race Pack Collection and Race Day to introduce various digital banking services and Daya financial literacy programs owned by SMBC Indonesia.
The next series will take place in Bandung on September 19-20, 2026.
