SDN Kebayoran Lama 09 Ambruk 1,5 Tahun Berujung Viral, Pramono: Benar-Benar Menampar Muka Saya 

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung admitted that he only knew about the condition of SD Negeri Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 whose building collapsed since November 2024 and has not been repaired.

According to him, the abandonment of the school building for about one and a half years is a serious problem that tarnishes the provision of education services in Jakarta.

"What is clear for Jakarta, especially for me personally, is that education that later like that really slapped me in the face," said Pramono in North Jakarta, Thursday, July 23.

Pramono admitted that he had only recently received information about the condition of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09. However, after learning about the problem, he immediately asked for a discussion to be held so that repairs could be decided immediately.

"That's why I immediately made a decision and if I say I don't know, I honestly don't know, I only found out yesterday," said Pramono.

Pramono ensured that the DKI Provincial Government immediately held a meeting to determine the steps to accelerate the reconstruction of the school. He also scheduled a direct inspection to the location on Friday.

According to him, a meeting regarding the handling of the school had been carried out and resumed to finalize the decision. After reviewing the location, the DKI Provincial Government will immediately start the repair process.

"It just so happens that yesterday we had a meeting and today we are meeting again to decide. Tomorrow I will visit the field. But soon we will make improvements," he said.

Pramono said the construction of schools would not wait for the discussion of the budget in the APBD or the APBD Amendment. He has instructed his staff to find possible sources of financing so that the project can immediately run.

"For matters related to education at SD Negeri 9 Kebayoran Lama, I have ordered that even though the budget is not in the APBD or APBD Amendment, we can use existing funds, one of which is KLB (building floor coefficient) and so on," said Pramono.

"The point is that education for me is education, health, and social is for me the most fundamental thing that must be improved in Jakarta," he added.

For information, part of the roof frame of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 collapsed on November 27, 2024. Based on the technical recommendations of the Department of Construction, Spatial Planning, and Land, the school building was declared to have suffered heavy damage so that it was no longer suitable for teaching and learning activities.

A day after the incident, as many as 270 students were transferred to SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 11. Temporary teaching and learning activities were carried out with a two-shift system so that all students could still receive educational services.
