Today Prabowo Commemorates International Anti-Narcotics Day 2026 in Bogor
BOGOR - President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to attend the 2026 International Anti-Narcotics Day (HANI) held at the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Rehabilitation Center, Cigombong, Bogor Regency, West Java, Thursday, July 23.
Based on the invitation received, the series of events will take place from 08.00 WIB to 11.00 WIB.
The HANI 2026 commemoration carries the theme "Building a Healthy, Smart, and Strong Generation through the Ananda Shining Movement Towards Golden Indonesia 2045".
President Prabowo's presence is part of the government's commitment to strengthen efforts to prevent and eradicate drug abuse which is included in the Asta Cita priority program.
On various occasions, Prabowo emphasized that drugs were a serious threat to the future of the nation that must be combated thoroughly and sustainably. According to him, the circulation of narcotics has developed into a global problem with increasingly sophisticated modus operandi.
When attending the destruction of 214.84 tons of narcotics evidence at the Bhayangkara Field of the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, on October 29, 2025, Prabowo asked all law enforcement officers and state institutions to strengthen synergy in combating drug trafficking.
"I ask for closer cooperation with everyone, customs, prosecutors, BIN, intelligence, local government," said Prabowo at that time.
In addition to law enforcement, the President also emphasized the importance of a rehabilitation approach for victims of drug abuse. According to him, prevention efforts must continue to be strengthened, especially through the family environment and educational institutions so that the younger generation is free from the dangers of drugs.
The HANI 2026 commemoration is expected to be a momentum to strengthen collaboration between the government, law enforcement agencies, educational institutions, and the community in creating a healthy generation, free from drugs, and ready to welcome Golden Indonesia 2045.
