BRI's Mantri Steps to Become a Driver of Economic Growth for the Rakyat to the Village Level
MEDAN - Behind the commitment of the role of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI in encouraging the growth of the people's economy, there is the dedication of thousands of BRI micro marketing personnel or commonly called Mantri BRI who are present every day directly in the community. They not only distribute financing, but also become companions, educators, and friends for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to the corners of Indonesia.
One of them is Rani Kanov Rianti Harahap, BRI Minister who serves at the BRI unit of Simpang Barakas BO Sibuhuan. During almost three years of carrying out his duties, Rani felt firsthand how the presence of BRI was able to open access to capital and also cultivate the optimism of the community to develop their business.
His first placement was in an area with difficult access. The road is not fully paved, the terrain is muddy when it rains, to the limitations of communication signals are challenges that must be faced every day.
However, this condition actually strengthens his determination to continue to accompany the community. According to him, being a Mantri BRI is not just a profession, but an opportunity to be part of changing people's lives.
"I want to be a bridge of change for the community. I want them to see that business capital that may seem small can change a family's life. When their business grows, it becomes a pride for me," said Rani.
For him, building a relationship with the community is not enough just through banking services. Closeness is built by listening, understanding the business conditions of customers, and being present when they need assistance.
This approach has made many customers grow from recipients of the People's Business Credit (KUR) to be able to increase the scale of their business through commercial financing. This journey is proof that access to financing accompanied by assistance is able to create a real impact on improving people's welfare.
In addition to accompanying business development, Rani is also active in providing education on financial literacy and the use of BRI's digital services, such as BRImo, QRIS, and BRILink Agents. Through this education, the public is encouraged to use formal financial services more safely, efficiently, and productively.
Director of Micro BRI Akhmad Purwakajaya said that the role of the BRI Mantri is the spearhead of BRI in carrying out the mission of empowering the people's economy. The presence of the BRI Mantri in the community is an important part of BRI's strategy in building financial inclusion while strengthening the capacity of MSMEs actors sustainably.
"The BRI Minister not only plays a role as a distributor of financing, but also becomes a companion who understands the needs of the community directly. They are present to build trust, increase financial literacy, and accompany MSMEs to be able to grow, rise in class, and become more competitive. The story shown by Rani is a reflection of the spirit of Insan BRI who continues to present meaning for the community to the ends of the country," said Akhmad Purwakajaya. (ADV)
