Jakarta Investment Reaches Rp173.6 Trillion in the Second Quarter of 2026, the Highest National

JAKARTA - The realization of investment in DKI Jakarta reached Rp173.6 trillion until the second quarter of 2026. This value grew 23.3 percent compared to the same period last year and again placed Jakarta as the region with the largest investment realization in Indonesia.

Of the total investment, Rp106.5 trillion or 61.3 percent came from domestic capital investment (PMDN), while Rp67.1 trillion or 38.7 percent was foreign capital investment (PMA). This achievement also contributed 17.2 percent to the total realization of national investment.

DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said the amount of investment that came in showed the confidence of business actors in the capital's economic prospects.

"This achievement confirms Jakarta's position as a center of national economic activity and reflects the increasing confidence of the business world in Jakarta's economic prospects," said Pramono in a press conference on the realization of the second quarter APBD at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, July 22.

According to Pramono, the DKI Provincial Government is trying to maintain the investment climate through assistance to the business world. Until mid-year, the government has facilitated 251 companies to solve various investment and operational obstacles.

In addition, the DKI Provincial Government is also opening up new investment opportunities through exploratory cooperation with a number of investors.

"We also facilitate 13 potential investment cooperation with large prospective investors. We also initiated discussions with Danantara regarding green investment as part of accelerating the development of waste management into electricity," said Pramono.

Pramono assessed that investment growth was inseparable from the economic conditions of Jakarta which still showed positive performance. In the second quarter of 2026, the Jakarta economy grew 5.59 percent year-on-year with an inflation rate of 2.78 percent or lower than the national inflation which reached 3.34 percent.

According to him, business optimism is an important factor that must be maintained in the midst of global economic uncertainty.

"This is supported by community activities and consumption and most importantly, the optimism of economic actors remains maintained. So maintaining this optimism is very important in the midst of this condition because of global uncertainty. If then the national and also Jakarta optimism can be built, this is a very good thing," he continued.
