Former Head of the South Sumatra Attorney General's Office Ketut Sumedana is now Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency Supervision

JAKARTA - The former Head of the South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati Sumsel) and former Head of the National Nutrition Agency Monitoring and Supervision Unit Ketut Sumedana has been officially appointed and introduced as Deputy for Monitoring and Supervision of the National Nutrition Agency.

Head of the Legal Information Section (Kasi Penkum) of the South Sumatra Regional Prosecutor's Office, Iwan Setiawan, confirmed the inauguration of the former South Sumatra Kajati, which was held in Jakarta on Tuesday (21/7).

"Congratulations and success, in carrying out his duties, and bringing progress to the nation and state," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 22.

Meanwhile, Ketut Sumedana served as the Head of the South Sumatra Attorney General's Office starting mid-October 2025. A number of prominent corruption cases became a public concern, which were revealed during his tenure until the weekend of July 2026.

The South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) saved state finances amounting to Rp1.5 trillion from January to June 2026.

Several corruption cases handled include the case of corruption in water traffic, the corruption in the Lalan River water of Rp160 billion to the arrest of the Deputy Regent of Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI) active period 2024-2029 with the initials IT related to the project bribery case.

Then the hand-in-hand operation (OTT) against members of the Muara Enim Regency DPRD as suspects in the case of receiving gifts or gratuities in the development of the Ataran Air Lemutu Irrigation Network in Tanjung Agung District, at the Muara Enim PUPR Office, worth Rp. 1.6 billion.
