Danantara Supports Strengthening the People's Economy, Reviews the Empowerment of PNM Mojokerto Customers

JAKARTA - The commitment to strengthen the people's economy through the empowerment of ultra micro businesses continues to be strengthened by Danantara Indonesia. This is reflected in the visit of the Danantara Asset Management Board to various PNM service points in Mojokerto, ranging from Weekly Group Meetings (PKM), customer business locations, to PNM Smart Rooms.

This visit provides a comprehensive overview of PNM's business model which not only provides access to financing for pre-prosperous women, but also ensures that the empowerment process is sustainable. Through PKM, customers receive regular assistance, business and financial management education, and build social networks that are the foundation for the growth of ultra-micro businesses.

In Mojokerto, the impact of PNM empowerment has been widely felt. As of June 30, 2026, PNM has served more than 73 thousand active customers in Mojokerto City and Regency through 25 Mekaar Units, supported by 352 Account Officer Assistants who routinely accompany customers in 5,515 weekly groups. Meanwhile, at the national level, more than 23.3 million pre-jahtera people have been served by more than 40 thousand AO through 4,655 service offices including 58 branches in 36 provinces in Indonesia.

Most of PNM's customers in Mojokerto are engaged in the trade sector, which is the main driver of the local economy, followed by the agricultural, service, and home industry sectors. This condition shows that financing accompanied by empowerment is able to strengthen the economic resilience of families while encouraging the development of productive businesses at the grassroots level.

PNM Mekaar customers together with Sulikah, told their struggle to build a bakso business which is now their family's source of income. Previously, he sold children's snacks at his house, but after joining PNM Mekaar, PNM's assistance and empowerment made his business grow into a bakso stall that has many variants such as fried foods and drinks on the climbing path so as to increase more income than before.

The delegation also visited the PNM Smart Room Majada Al-Hidayah as part of PNM's commitment to supporting education, especially children from PNM's client families. This Smart Room program is expected to have an impact not only for customers, but for the surrounding environment, especially children, to pursue informal education.

Commissioner Danantara's visit to the Smart Room is proof that the empowerment of PNM does not stop at access to capital, but also touches the future of the children of customers. In this room, 43 children from PAUD to grade 6 SD study together every Wednesday and Thursday, growing hope through education.

The visit of the President Commissioner and other commissioners from Danantara Asset Management, Rabin Indrajad Hattari and other commissioners is a tangible proof of synergy in building an ultra-micro business ecosystem that is not only based on access to capital, but also on sustainable assistance. Through this collaboration, PNM is optimistic that more and more ultra-micro businesswomen will be able to rise in class, improve family welfare, and contribute to national economic growth from the grassroots level.

Danantara Asset Management President Commissioner, Rabin Indrajad, revealed "What we appreciate from PNM is not only its financing. There is a real concern through the Smart Room and attention to the surrounding environment of the customer, so that empowerment really feels comprehensive." said Robin.

Deputy President Director of PNM Sunar Basuki emphasized that empowerment is the core of every service provided by PNM to the community.

"Empowerment is not just a companion program, but the essence of every step that PNM takes. We want to ensure that every customer feels the real benefits, ranging from increased business capacity, increased confidence, to the presence of new hope for their families. Danantara's support is a reinforcement so that these benefits can reach more pre-prosperous women and further strengthen the foundation of the people's economy," said Sunar.
